Recorded live at The Broad Stage in Santa Monica, the Young Musicians Foundation Debut Orchestra gives a world-class performance of Beethoven's most popular Symphony. Composed from 1811 - 1812 while in the Bohemian Spa town of Teplice, Beethoven dedicated this expressive work to Count Moritz von Fries. Symphony No. 7 was premiered in Vienna on December 8, 1813 and is scored for 2 flutes, 2 oboes, 2 clarinets in A, 2 bassoons, 2 horns in A, 2 trumpets in D, timpani, and strings.
The four movements are:
I. Poco sostenuto - Vivace
II. Allegretto (the most popular of the movements)
III. Presto - Assao meno presto (trio)
IV. Allegro con brio
