Welcome! I'm BadPlayer, your (not so) humble servant, here to bring you a subbed playthrough of Gyakuten Kenji 2, so that you can follow along too! Gyakuen Kenji 2 is the newest installment of the Gyakuten (Ace Attorney) series, but unfortunately it seems there aren't plan to release it in English. I bought and played Gyakuten Kenji 2 in Japanese, and let me tell you: it's amazing. And now you can see that for yourself!
Making these videos take quite a bit of work, so I can't saw how often they will go up. I'll try to get them done relatively often, but I have plenty of other things to do, so...
This is not going to be a polished, localized version of the game, like you'd get in an official English copy. I'm just going to try to copy the text as directly as I can. I'll try to give each character a unique "voice" that fits their Japanese speech style, but I'm not going to put a lot of effort into that. Also, to be honest, I'm not that great in Japanese; I've only been studying it for a year and a half. As a result, there are going to be some places where I'm not 100% sure what's being said... If you see a "(?)", then it means I'm not sure of the translation. If, by any chance, you know Japanese and know how to translate a textbox marked (?), or if I translate something incorrectly, please tell me in a comment! Or, if you know English and see a typo, let me know about that too. Just make sure you tell me what time the error appears; it will obviously make it a lot easier for me to find and fix it.
